Book your Trip Insight Tanzania  airport transfers online for great savings. Choose from shared airport shuttlesprivate transfersairport taxisluxury transfersminibus and minivans or even a private coach. We also offer minibuses with disabled access. We live in Tanzania, and we work with only the most trusted holiday transfers suppliers, so you can ensure you’re getting the highest quality, safest, and most reliable airport transfer available.

Types of Airport Transfers

Shuttle Transfers

Our cheapest airport transfer, a shared shuttle is a shared coach that will take you to your hotel or resort with other travellers who are also heading there. Shared shuttles have a maximum of 8 drop off points. If you opt for a speedy shared shuttle, you can enjoy a maximum of 4 drop off points. A travel representative will greet you at the airport and show you to your coach. Please note that shared shuttles do not serve private addresses.

Private Airport Transfers

Private Airport Transfers drive you and your passengers direct to your accommodation. Ideal for private addresses, there are no stops except your final destination. There’s no need to queue outside the taxi rank as your driver will be waiting for you in arrivals. As you will have paid for your airport transfer in advance, there are absolutely no hidden costs either.

All of our cars and mini-buses are comfortable and fully air-conditioned. When you travel with us you will be assured of a reliable and professional service and to arrive at your destination relaxed and on time.

Paje Beach

Paje is a village on the southeast coast of Zanzibar and most well-known to tourists for its kite surfing. Like all of Zanzibar, this 5km stretch of beach has impeccably white sand that contrasts with the brightest of turquoise waters. It is absolutely stunning and a beautiful place to go, however the tides change so much throughout the day that at some points you may have to walk for at least 100m to get to the ocean.

Where to Stay in Paje?

There are plenty of accommodations in Paje for the budget traveler at various price points. One of my favorite place to stay is: Summer Dream Lodge. Just a short walk to the beach (approximately 70 meters) Summer Dream Lodge is a little oasis within itself. It consists of a cluster of little beach huts called bandas that surround a restaurant/bar and other day beds to lounge on throughout the day.

The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable and vary in sizes and prices. (Sizes range from comfort rooms to 8 room dorms). I happened to stay in a double room with a private bathroom for only $40/night. The only downside to Summer Dream Lodge is that is a little bit further down the beach from other hotels and guest houses. It is a short walk but in the heat of the day that short walk seems a bit further than it really is.

Zanzibar Mini Guide

Zanzibar is truly an island like no other. Located in the Indian Ocean, approximately 35km from Tanzania’s capital Dar Es Salaam, this oasis is a mix of both beauty, culture and rich history. As early as the 16th century both the Portuguese and Omani People began using Zanzibar as a trading port and started establishing colonies of merchants and landowners. After much turmoil in Oman, Sultan Said Ibn Sultan decided to relocate his capital from Muscat to Zanzibar in 1832. Several Sultan’s continuously ruled until 1964 when then, Tanganyika and Zanzibar united to become the Republic of Tanzania (what we see today).

Zanzibar Archipelago

A group of islands and islets some 25 miles off the Tanzanian coast, the Zanzibar Archipelago is headlined by Unguja (often referred to simply as Zanzibar) and Pemba. Once a separate nation, Zanzibar has a long history of trade with the Arab world, dating back to at least the 11th century.

Best time to go to Zanzibar

Best time to go to Zanzibar

The best time to visit Zanzibar is during the archipelago's dry season, from July to September, which is a very popular time to travel. However, it's worthwhile travelling at most times of year, with balmy temperatures between 28°C and 34°C and sunshine the norm. Though you can enjoy the luxury of Zanzibar Hotels any time of the year.

No, generally we only offer private transfers so the vehicle is yours for exclusive use. On occasion we may have another enquiry, particularly regarding event taxis, where others are also wanting a taxi to the same place at the same time. If this is the case, sometimes we will ask you if you would like to share your taxi. There is no pressure to do so, but you will be offered a reduced rate if that is the case.

The amount of luggage that you can bring depends on the Transport Provider you book with.
