Assuming you are heading out there for a flight, then a drive from any point within the national park would get you there. It is about a 2-hour drive from both Naabi hill and Ndabaka gates.

The Seronera Airstrip is commonly used by tourists who are on a Fly-in Safari experience, who are connecting easily within the East African Region or Tanzanian Parks to reduce driving time, take to reach a destination.

You can do a combined African Safari and fly easily to a national park, which makes it quicker in a short time. If the safari includes Serengeti, then it is very easy to fly in through this airstrip, as you can easily land and be picked up by your safari guide who will be waiting for you at the airstrip to transfer you to your booked lodge.

Altitude: 1600 m.a.m.s.l.

At the time of writing (2017), it is the largest by size and mostly used by small regional flights, from as far as Dar es Salaam, along with a few small international ones from Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda directs to the park, or for those with private jets.

There also is one airport building that serves as the lobby as well as administration offices.

The airstrip is located at the heart of the Serengeti National Park of northern Tanzania, inside the small town of Seronera, about a kilometer south of the Seronera tourist information Centre. There are quite a lot of both special and public campsites nearby, as well as a lodge, a tourist information Centre, two fuel stations, and a village with shops, bars, and a dispensary. The closest international airport to Serengeti National Park is Kilimanjaro International Airport. However, the drive from between them is about eight hours. Travellers have the option of taking a domestic flight into Arusha International Airport, which is closer to the park, but this option is less direct.
