Car Rental Service with the Safari Guide

Trip Insight Tanzania offers reliable Tanzania car hire and rental services in Arusha and all over Tanzania, using a range of Safari vehicles for hire with Driver Guides at competitive rates. Vehicles include 4WD Safari Tour Vans and 4×4 Landcruisers, ideal for Tourist safaris and gamedrives in national parks such as Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. It is safe to rent a car in Tanzania especially with a local Driver-Guide who is used to the challenging roads and driving conditions. We often also get asked which side of the road we drive in Tanzania – the answer is on the left (like in the United Kingdom, Australia, India or Kenya) so the vehicles are as such “Right Hand Drive”.

Safari Car Rental FAQ

We are proud to be open 7 days a week, 365 days a year! Most of our first contacts with clients are made through a client completing an enquiry form on the vehicle that they are interested in. We will then issue a quote if the vehicle is available.

Yes, like any other tropical Country, Tanzania also hosts many bugs, insects and mosquitoes. To safeguard our clients from these unfriendly hosts all hotels and tented camp rooms are sprayed with insect repellents. It is advisable to carry insect repellents along with you while travelling to Tanzania.

The most attractive activity in Tanzania is the Great Wildebeest Migration which is an annual migration of giant herds of grazers across Northern Tanzania and Kenya.

  • On an average over two million wildebeests, zebras and gazelles move through the Serengeti and Masai Mara networks in search food and water.

This Great Migration in Tanzania can be witnessed all year round as the wildlife migrates in a circular motion around the Serengeti National Park.

Casual clothing is expected in Tanzania so you do not need to pack any extravagant clothes. Loose-fitting and lightweight clothes are the best choices in Tanzanian safari that they keep you cool and even dry quickly in case you get caught in a rain shower. Carry a good fleece or jacket for warding off the chilly cold mornings of game drive activities. You can wear long sleeves at night as there will usually be a campfire to keep you warm but you will need to protect yourself from mosquitoes.

Yes! We have a wide list of regular car rental options to chose from.
