The small terminal at Kilimanjaro Airport (code: JRO) has been recently renovated. Parts of the terminal are open to the outdoors, so expect mosquitoes. Shops and eateries are located both inside and outside the terminal. Some reviews suggest waiting till close to your boarding time to pass through security, as the boarding area is small. Luckily, WiFi is free. For added comfort while you wait, economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge.
Where to Sleep?
There is no place to sleep inside the Kilimanjaro airport (Hotel/Lodge), but for uninterrupted sleep, nearby hotels offer shuttle service. If sleeping in Kilimanjaro International Airport does not appeal to you, these are some of the closest hotels to the airport:

Services, Facilities and What to Do On a Layover?
- #1. TMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available 24-hours a day. Fees may apply, check your daily withdrawal limit, You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans.

- #3. Duty Free & Shopping – Duty Free Shops are available, as are a few bookshops, garment shops, curio shops and jewelry shops.
- #4. Food & Drink – At the time of writing, no 24-hour options are available. However, the airport does have a few restaurants inside and outside the passenger terminal.

- #6. Medical Care – First Aid and emergency medical care is provided at the AAR KIA Clinic. Hours: open 24 hours.
The price options take into account the number of passengers and a reasonable amount of luggage – please see question above. If you feel that you have an unusually large amount of luggage, please select a larger vehicle.
Do not worry as this is not a problem. Your driver will keep a check on flight times. He will see from your flight number, and information obtained from the airport if your flight has been delayed. Your driver will arrive at the airport in time for when you arrive. This is the case regardless of how late your flight may be.

When will I receive my confirmation email to confirm my booking?
This will usually be sent to you within 3 hours if you have made your booking between Monday – Friday: 8am – 7pm (GMT) / Saturday: 8am – 12pm (GMT). If you book at any other time, you confirmation email will be sent to you the following morning. Of course, last minute transfer requests are treated as a priority.
