6 Days Saadani – Mikumi & Udzungwa tour:

Pick the clients from airport and transfer to A hotel in Dar es salaam for over night. The clients will visit Saadani national Park mikumi National Park And last they will visit the famous udzungwa NP Visiting all the above places the clients will have a true picture of our National Park and keeping in mind that Saadani National Park is the Park where the The bush and beach meets. Mikumi National Park is another point of interest for our clients, its famous for its climbing trees lions.

Day 1 – Airport to Hotel:

Our driver will move you to your lodging Mediterraneo in Dar/your convenience on Bed and breakfast. This visit can begin in zanzibar on demand. All ship tickets or flights from znz will be extra on demand. Get from air terminal to Hotel is altogether included when we have customers reserved for this visit.

Day 2 to 3 – Saadani National Park:

You will be picked up from your lodging at 0700am and drive to Saadani Np, from Dar es salaam, you will show up saadani Np for your game drive and later drive for your convenience at saadani Bandas for your medium-term on full board – B/L/Diner the following morning you will continue with the game drive around each edge of the national Park.

Day 4 – Saadani – Mikumi National Park:

After breakfast early morning around 0700 am the customers will leave saadani and continue towards mikumi national Park. With lunch boxes, they will have a break for outing lunch and afterward continue with the evening game till late at night around 0600 pm driver then to the camp for a supper and medium-term. The ride from saadani is approx 6 or 5 hours and show up after the expected time evening.

Day 5 – Mikumi Udzungwa National Park:

On this day after the breakfast, you will depart to Udzungwa np from Mikumi is almost 2 hours drive, you will visit the beautiful environment of this park which have the highest waterfalls in our country. You will swim on the Sanje waterfalls. Its a full day visit before you depart and return back to your camp for overnight.is a national park in Tanzania with a size of 1,990 km2 (770 miles2).[ The habitats contained within the national park include tropical rainforest, mountain forest, miombo woodland, grassland and steppe. There is a vertical height range of 250–2,576 metres (the peak of Lohomero), which incorporates the Udzungwa Mountains part of the Eastern Arc Mountains. There are more than 400 bird species, 2500 plant species (25% of which are endemics) and 6 primate species. It has the second largest biodiversity of a national park in Africa.

Day 6 – Mikumi to Dar-es-salaam:

After breakfast you will check out and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam. On this day you will explore the game enroute to Dar es salaam.

GETTING TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

Safaris to Mikumi usually start from Dar es Salaam, and your point of entry for the country is Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR). In most cases, your tour operator will pick you up from the airport and handle all further ground operations or domestic flights.Mikumi is a four-hour drive away from Dar  and can easily be visited as a weekend get-away. However, most people visit Mikumi en route to Nyerere or Ruaha. The only scheduled flights to Mikumi are with Safari Air Link which offers a daily connection to Ruaha, Selous, Dar and Zanzibar.

Mikumi Safari FAQ's

June to October is the best time to visit Mikumi National Park. During the dry season, the wildlife concentrate around waterholes and rivers – making it easier to spot them.

A good surfaced road connects Mikumi to Dar es Salaam via Morogoro, a roughly 4 hour drive. Also road connections to Udzungwa, Ruaha and (dry season only) Selous. Charter flight from Dar es Salaam, Arusha or Selous. Local buses run from Dar to park HQ where game drives can be arranged.

Wildlife in this quiet national park includes elephant, giraffe, buffalo, Burchell’s zebra, sable, eland, Liechtenstein’s hartebeest, lion, leopard, spotted hyena, and jackal. You can also find yellow baboons near Kiboga, at the southern end of the park.

3,230 sq km (1,250 sq miles), it’s on of the largest park in Tanzania. Location: 283 km (175 miles) West of Dar es Salaam, this park can be visited with Selous, Ruaha and Udzungwa national parks.

Mikumi national park is named after the popular dominant Palm tree species that is commonly found at the park called Borrassus Spp. The tree is exceptional in that it grew at the park but with no stems seen from anywhere in the village. The park also shares its name with the village which is named after the park.

The journey from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park can take anywhere from 4 to 6 hours, depending on which side of the city you are on. The journey from Dar es Salaam to the park is much simpler thanks to a solid asphalt road that leads up to the park gate, so the distance shouldn’t worry you too much.
